“Waldron H. Rand believed that the best business leaders didn’t just utilize the abilities of associates, but rather, found ways to help them grow and develop greater achievements. We still seek to learn from Waldron H. Rand and to follow his lead today.”

— Sharon L. Shaff, Shareholder

Develop greater achievements

Waldron H. Rand was the co-founder and president of Waldron H. Rand & Company, P.C., in 1912. His service philosophy and dedication to the continual advancement of the industry is embedded in the Firm’s culture today. This tradition of excellence is why Waldron Rand is the oldest continuing public accounting firm in the country. A true industry pioneer, Mr. Rand was a founding member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA), serving as its president from 1912 through 1914, and president of the predecessor organization to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) from 1918 through 1920.
