#10
Route ALL returns as they are being worked on.
- Once the return is ready to be finalized, be sure to include the delivery preference and assembly notes in Go File Room prior to routing to assembly.
#9
Use the fillable Finalizing Sheet/Green Sheet and put it in Caseware prior to bringing it up front.
- Print a copy of it and put on top of the return prior to placing in assembly drawers.
- If the return is part of a group and the Caseware file is not self-explanatory, please make a note of that in Go File Room and/or on the printed out Green Sheet.
#8
Notify [email protected] of any client address changes since the last time the return was prepared.
- Additionally, make sure that we are notified if the mailing address is different than on the return
#7
Make sure the PIC/SIC is signed off on the Green Sheet/Finalizing Instructions Sheet
#6
Put Clear and Concise Instructions on the Green Sheet/Finalizing Instructions Sheet
- Make sure all states are included
- Make sure ALL manual returns/forms are listed (anything that has its own transmittal/instructions page
- Choose just 1 delivery option (i.e. Mail, Safesend, Pickup)
#5
Give as much notice as possible for returns that have a high priority
#4
Complete the proper checklists (1040/corporate) and make sure they are in Caseware (replace the placeholder) prior to bringing it up front.
#3
Export FBARS, IT 204LL, CT returns, etc. separately from the actual return.
- Be sure that there is a matching workflow and that is routed properly to assembly.
#2
Explain Safesend to your clients so that they know that they can sign and download the returns to PDF.
- (The letter that is typically sent to clients is saved under files in the Waldron Rand Team)
