Tom joined Waldron Rand in 2017 and became a shareholder in 2020. He specializes in closely held businesses, real estate and international tax matters.
Tom began his career at Vitale, Caturano and Company, which eventually merged with McGladrey (now RSM US), a global audit, tax, and consulting firm. During his time there he worked with owner-managed businesses on both their assurance and taxation needs. This overlap in his skillset created a desire for him to have a better understanding of a small-business owner’s overall link between their business and personal picture.
Tom is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and also holds a designation as a Certified Financial Planner. Tom earned both his BS and MSA in Accountancy from Bentley University and Bentley’s McCallum Graduate School of Business. He also holds a Financial Planning Certificate from Boston University.
Tom is involved in two organizations focused on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). He sits on the board of JB’s Keys to DMD and is a Steering Committee Member of the Duchenne Program at UMass Memorial Medical Center. In his spare time, you will find Tom at home with his wife, Nicole and their three young children.
“If you work just for money, you’ll never make it, but if you love what you’re doing and you always put the customer first, success will be yours.”
